Book Clubs

  • Paper Hearts Book Club

Meets on the second Thursday of the month at the Paper Hearts Reading Room

    420 East 21st Street Unit D

Each month we rotate reading a specific book or choose your own book on a specific theme! This is low stakes and meant to be a fun opportunity to discuss books with our community, not homework. We know life happens, so even if you aren’t able to finish a book for the month, feel free to come lend your voice and presence to our discussion!

Paper Hearts Bookstore is supporting this book club. If you order book club picks through Paper Hearts you receive 10% off. While it is not a requirement to buy from Paper Hearts, we do ask that you get book from library, borrow from a friend, or buy from other indie. By joining, you agree not to get the book from Amazon. When you buy a book from a local independent bookstore, you are directly supporting people in your community.

Check our calendar or our Facebook page to see what book/theme we are reading this month!

  • Spooky Stories

Check our Facebook page for dates! Meets at 6:30PM at the Paper Hearts Reading Room

    420 East 21st Street Unit D

A book club for all things that go bump in the night! We focus on the horror/thriller/mystery genre, and sweet treats, because a spoonful of sugar helps the gore go down.

  • Silent Book Club

Meets on the last Monday of every month at 6:30PM at Pettaway Coffee

    406 East 21st Street

We at Paper Hearts Bookstore believe reading is best with friends. We don’t want to leave out our introvert friends so we are pleased to host Silent Book Club! Bring your own book and settle in for 45-ish minutes of reading. Then we have 15-ish minutes of sharing about what we are reading and what are looking forward to reading. Don’t feeling like socializing? It’s okay to skip out on the share time- no judgement here. Coffee available for purchase, but we do ask that you arrive early to get your drink ordered. We appreciate Pettaway Coffee opening their doors to us! Hope to see you there!

Even MORE Book Clubs

  • End of Life Book Club

Hosted by Allison Clark of End of Life Arkansas

“I started a sentimental post about how much books mean to me and how reading about death has changed my life. I think that stuff is great, but I know you’re just here for deets on the book club. Here ya go!

Final Chapters plans to meet on the second Saturday of every other month at 2pm. If you can think of a better way to word that please let me know! We meet in the Reading Room attached to Paper Hearts Bookstore in Little Rock, AR.

Be sure to keep an eye on my Facebook profile. I create an event for each meeting and that’ll be the first place I post if something changes.

This is a very relaxed book club. Please feel free to join us even if you haven’t finished the book. We welcome anyone who is curious about the topic and wants to engage in meaningful discussion surrounding death and dying.

Please use your local library or Libby when you can. If the book is not available through your library, check out your local bookstore. If you like audiobooks I highly recommend Libro.fm. I’ve had excellent luck buying books secondhand from Pango or Thriftbooks, too. All that to say – please don’t buy books from Amazon. The way we spend our money matters. “

  • Cook Book Club

For each meeting we choose a cookbook and have a little potluck where everyone brings a dish from that cookbook!

Keep an eye out here and on our Instagram for the next meet up!

  • Silenced Stories

A Book Club for Banned & Challenged Books

Meets the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm at @communitybakerylr!

Keep and eye on our Instagram for next month’s pick!
